In recent years deliverance ministry has become increasingly difficult. Even the most seasoned ministers struggle to locate and expel demons. Individuals think they're free from demonic bondage only to be blindsided by another oppressive force. But for New York pastor Alexander Pagani, one experience changed everything. He realized how demons lodge themselves in hidden areas of our lives. First, a demon can quite literally reside in an area of the body. Second, demons can live deep in the soul and remain undetected. Deliverance is like a labyrinth with trap doors, backward stairs, and secret rooms. In The Secrets to Deliverance Pagani shares biblical strategies and his own experiences for evicting the demons in the "rooms" of your soul and body. Featuring prayers and declarations, this book will instruct you how to strategically and powerfully overtake the enemy so that you can live the life God intended for you.

43 Short Stories of God's Miracles This work is about how God has marvelously intervened in the affairs of men and woman. It's about everyday people who found themselves in circumstances beyond their control. It is a book about miracles. It is a book about deliverance. Jesus Himself said he had come to bring "deliverance to the captives" and without any doubt we see today so many people who are bound by sin, Satan and circumstances. Surely, one can see that it is only God who can bring the liberty to these captives. More so, it is desperately needed. This is not a book to prove that miracles exist nor of argument to that fact; but a book of more than forty short stories of personal testimony to God's wonderful hand of help and deliverance. William Hiltz accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of twenty. He has spent the last thirty years serving God's kingdom to help fulfill the Great Commission. He already is the author of a daily devotional book titled Notes on Life and has a doctoral degree in Theology from International Seminary of Plymouth, Florida. Entering the ministry at age twenty-five, he and his wife have pastored churches in Maine, New York, Texas and Mexico. For the past ten years they have been the pastors of the McAllen Church of God in McAllen, Texas.

This is the extended and annotated edition including * an extensive biographical annotation about the author and his life In any commentary on a portion of the Old Testament by a writer unacquainted with Hebrew, exact criticism, and freedom from mistake, must not be expected. But the Psalms have been so in the mouth and in the heart of God’s people in all languages, that it has been necessary often to find an explanation suitable to imperfect translations. And no doubt it is intended that we should use such explanations for the purpose of edification, when we are unable to be more accurate, though in proving doctrine it is necessary always to remember and allow for any want of acquaintance with the original, or uncertainty with respect to its actual meaning. However, the main scope and bearing of the text is rarely affected by such points as vary in different translations, and the analogy of the faith is sufficient to prevent a Catholic 4 mind from adopting any error in consequence of a text seeming to bear a heterodox meaning. Perhaps the errors of translation in the existing versions may have led the Fathers to adopt rules of interpretation ranging too far from the simple and literal; but having such translations, they could hardly use them otherwise. Meanwhile St. Augustin will be found to excel in the intense apprehension of those great truths which pervade the whole of Sacred Writ, and in the vivid and powerful exposition of what bears upon them. It is hardly possible to read his practical and forcible applications of Holy Scripture, without feeling those truths by the faith of which we ought to live brought home to the heart in a wonderful manner. His was a mind that strove earnestly to solve the great problems of human life, and after exhausting the resources, and discovering the emptiness, of erroneous systems, found truth and rest at last in Catholic Christianity, in the religion of the Bible as expounded by St. Ambrose. And though we must look to his Confessions for the full view of all his cravings after real good, and their ultimate satisfaction, yet throughout his works we have the benefit of the earnestness with which he sought to feed on the “sincere milk of the word.”

When Churchill made one of the most inspiring speeches of the 20th century - 'we will fight them on the beaches' – some thought that it was his way of preparing the public for the fall of France. Others heard it as a direct appeal to the Americans. The Prime Minister was speaking in the Commons in June 4 1940, giving thanks for the miracle of deliverance, the harrowing and breathless evacuation of over 338,000 troops - British and French and Belgian - from the beaches and harbour at Dunkirk in the teeth of nightmarish German onslaught. Churchill was determined it shouldn’t be labelled a victory. He was already too late. Hours later, broadcaster JB Priestley was to call it ‘an absurd English epic’. The last of the boatloads had returned to Dover in the small hours of June 4th. And the mythologizing had already begun – from euphoric American journalists to the thousands of women who lined up on railway platforms, crowding round exhausted soldiers as if they were movie stars. But was Churchill privately convinced that the Germans were about to successfully invade England? Those days of Dunkirk, and the spirit, and the image of the indefatigable little ships, are still invoked now whenever the nation finds itself in any kind of crisis. But there is a wider story too that involves a very large number of civilians - from nurses to racing enthusiasts, trades union leaders to dance hall managers, novelists to seaside café owners. And even wider yet, a story that starts in September 1939: of young civilian men being trained for a war that was already 25 years out of date; and the increasing suspense – and occasional surrealism - of the Phoney War. The ‘absurd epic’ of Dunkirk – told here through fresh interviews with veterans, plus unseen letters and archival material – is the story of how an old-fashioned island was brutally forced into the modernity of World War Two.

Hardship and Deliverance in the Islamic Tradition

Theology and Spirituality in the Works of Al-Tanukhi

Al-Tanûkî was a judge who was born in Basra and lived in Baghdad during the tenth century CE. During his life he wrote three books which compiled various forms of oral literature, including poetry, stories, anecdotes and hadith. In this introduction to the works and thought of al-Tanûkî, Nouha Khalifa explores the central theme within his narratives of hardship and deliverance. _x000D_ _x000D_ It is clear from his works that al-Tanûkî was principally concerned with how mankind can alleviate hardship and suffering in life and achieve deliverance. Khalifa explores al-Tanûkî’s recurring themes of love, generosity and the journey, and how through his narratives al-Tanûkî unveils his central message: that ‘So truly with hardship comes ease, truly with hardship comes ease.’ _x000D_ _x000D_ Al-Tanûkî’s unshakable conviction in the necessity of deliverance is rooted in his Mu'tazilite doctrine, an early school of Sunni Islamic theology which sought to ground Islamic tenets in reason, and which drew upon early Islamic philosophy, Greek philosophy and Hellenistic philosophy. Khalifa therefore studies al-Tanûkî's works in the light of Mu‘tazilism by highlighting the relationship between literature, theology and spirituality. The study also shows how religious themes play a role in al-Tanûkî’s vibrant stories which combine elements of both reality and fiction._x000D_ _x000D_ Khalifa examines the historical, cultural and literary contexts in tenth-century Iraq, and delves deeper into aspects of Mu‘tazilism in al-Tanûkî’s compilations. Al-Tanûkî’s preoccupation with the journey, love and generosity are inextricably linked with his Mu’tazilite thought. The journey is a physical journey on earth which symbolises mankind’s spiritual journey towards God and the quest to achieve deliverance; God is the source of love upon earth, and profane love is a manifestation of divine love of God; mankind’s generosity is the manifestation of God’s inherent generosity, and generosity is the expression of mankind’s love for God._x000D_ _x000D_ This fascinating study makes available the works and ideas of al-Tanûkî for the first time, and provides a fresh insight into medieval Middle Eastern culture, history and religious thought._x000D_
