Let it Go! Many times, we encounter trials in life that we believe will take us out of this world through a stress attack, heart attack or some other ailment. Even though we say that we trust in the Lord, it does not necessarily mean that the anxiety or stress associated with the trial always goes away. But, believing and trusting in the Lord in our spirit and heart enables us to know that God will work the situation out for our good. Trusting God does not mean that we will not get any bruises and experience pain during the trial. What it means is that the great and mighty God that we serve will take the problem when we cast the care upon Him, letting it go and allowing Him to handle it. This book is about the struggles one woman encountered in her life and the difficulties she had in letting those struggles go. Her life was stuck like glue to the pain and trials in her life until she decided it was not profiting her anything to hold on. Finally, with the help of the Lord she was able to let it go. Join Dr. Harrison as she shows you how to let go of every weight and sin that holds you back from being free in the Lord.

2004 marked the 400th anniversary of the decision, taken in January 1604 at the Hampton Court Conference, to produce a new Bible, the King James. However, the history of the English Bible is not widely known. Let It Go among Our People is the story of the birth of the English Bible, the development of its literary style, and its tumultuous political history. In England, unlike almost every other country, it was illegal to translate the word of God into the vernacular. This ban lasted one hundred and twenty-seven years. Overcoming the political and ecclesiastical resistance to an English Bible was a dangerous and difficult task. Lives were lost not only for producing English Bibles, but also for the act of owning or reading them. The authors also analyse the language used in the Bible, viewing the whole as literature whilst studying its translation, and comparing important passages in different versions. Such close study of the text itself is warranted because the English Bible has had a profound effect on English language, literature, politics and ideas and has left a lasting impression on the language we speak today. No other language, save perhaps German, can boast that its vernacular translation of the Bible is a literary masterpiece in its own right. This in-depth and fascinating study is finely illustrated from manuscript, incunabula and other early books to help to trace the development of this religious, literary and historical masterpiece.

I heard someone once say that we are a generation of excuses. There is some truth in that I cannot deny. If you ask me, I believe we are a generation of fear, and that’s why we make excuses. This collection is to show the progress of letting go of things that hold us back from being individuals. Whether we want to admit it or not, it is fear that keeps us from rising to our potential. We are scared to take a chance and be bold; I have come to learn that it doesn’t make a difference whether you are like everyone else or the mix- matched color in the crowd. People are always going to have something to say. If you ask me, I would much rather be talked about for being the odd one than to disappear in a crowd. Plus it’s much more fun! This collection is made up of snapshots of different situations that may occur and that will have you second-guessing yourself. I want nothing more than for it to be guidance for some young girl or even a boy. Realize that you may fall a couple of times, maybe more than some, but no matter what keep pushing along. Don’t give up! Let it go and move forward. Of course it won’t be easy, and tomorrow is not promised for another chance, but that doesn’t mean you can’t think positive. At the end of the day, everyone has the advantage.

In this six-session women’s small group Bible study (DVD/digital video sold separately), Karen Ehman provides practical, biblically based steps for letting go of the need to control. Let’s face it: many women are wired to control. We make sure that the house is clean, the meals are prepared on time, the beds are made, the children are dressed, and everyone gets to work, school, and other activities on time. And trying to control it all is not only exhausting, but can also cause us to lose friends and sometimes, the affection of our families. It can earn wives and mothers the label of control freak and send those within our sphere of influence packing. In this humorous, yet thought-provoking small group Bible study you’ll find the freedom and reward of living “out of control” – putting God in the rightful place he deserves in your life. Armed with relevant biblical and current examples (both to emulate and to avoid), doable ideas, new thought patterns, and practical tools to implement, this study will gently lead you out of the land of over-control and into a place of quiet trust. Betty Jean Lathan has published five children's books and has published her first Christian book which speaks to those who have experienced world's trials that will cause one to question, "Why Me Lord." After being married to the late Rev. Robert Lathan for 33 years, God tested her faith by calling him home after a three year battle with multiple myeloma cancer. The book details his and her strength as they watched loved ones leave this world and the God and satan will test your faith through problems in your marriage, through drugs, alcohol and yes even through your enemies and loved ones. It encourages you to stay strong and stay in the word of God by constantly talking to Him and trusting him. All of us will have tests during this journey in life, and we must be ready for all types of tests, and when you feel that you will fail, God tells us to hold on and keep the faith because the race is not given to the swift and the strong, but it is given to the one that can endure to the end.
